Regenerative development and design is an emerging field and in it, we are always growing and evolving. At Unfold, we adapt principles of regenerative development. This terminology was first coined by The Regenesis Group, which was founded to merge fields of ecological design, permaculture, business, and development. The founders’ goals were to shift the development industry into one in which developers add to, rather than take away from, the built environment. Their goals of synergizing health, people, and planet were shared amongst those emerging in the sustainable building movement.
